Kane’s Furniture announces the grand opening of its newest store in Ocoee, Fla. on March 11, 2005. PINELLAS PARK, FL (March 10, 2005) – Kane’s Furniture announces the grand opening of its newest store in Ocoee, Fla. on March 11, 2005. The 65,000 square foot store is located at 9775 W. Colonial Drive at the corner of Highway 50 and North Clarke Road. This opening marks the addition of the 17th store to Kane’s family of furniture stores. "Our beautiful new Ocoee store is open for its triumphant return to the radically successful Orlando market," said Kane’s Furniture’s Vice President of Sales Steve Giordano. "The refinements in this store feature great new wall colors, spacious wood floors and a totally new selection of accessories. The panoramic view of our store is enhanced by a beautiful fountain and great landscaping. "This is the best of the new Kane’s," Giordano continued. "It truly underscores the point to our customers that if you have not seen our new Ocoee store, ‘You ain’t seen nothin’ yet’ ". According to the U.S. Department of Commerce, consumer spending in 2004 for furniture and bedding rose 8.6% from spending in 2003 to $77.9 billion. Ocoee, located just twelve miles west of downtown Orlando, is in one of the fastest growing counties in the state of Florida, West Orange County. In 2003, the total population of West Orange County was nearly 814,000; the county’s projected population for 2008 is expected to jump to over 906,000. Kane’s believes this data is good news and hopes to serve the growing furniture needs of the community of Ocoee.
