LONDON, ENGLAND (February 24, 2005)— Looking for a unique idea for corporate entertaining this summer? Enjoy an intimate dinner within the atmospheric heart of the Tower with your guests, then move to designated VIP seating in the Tower Moat for that evening’s performance of either Grand Opera or exceptional jazz against the familiar skyline of Britain’s most famous royal palace and fortress.

A special experience for all opera lovers, Donizetti’s "Anna Bolena" will be performed at the Tower of London as part of this Festival. The Tower is the very place where the second act of the opera is set and the actual place of the detention and execution in 1536 of Queen Anne Boleyn, Henry VIII’s second wife. Rarely staged, the last time this opera was performed was at the Royal Opera House in 1989 with Dame Joan Sutherland.

Alternating between the five nights of Grand Opera will be six nights of exceptional jazz featuring famous names from the international scene including Amy Winehouse, Katie Melua, Clare Teal, Lisa Stansfield, The James Taylor Quartet and Humphrey Lyttleton.
